A year of quality, innovation and international vision

With this fifth issue of ICMED Magazine we celebrate an important milestone: the first year of publication. An intense journey, made up of commitment, passion and collaboration, which has found its crowning achievement in obtaining the ISSN 3103-1943 code, official recognition that certifies our magazine as a periodical publication in the scientific publishing panorama.

Looking back over these twelve months, I feel gratitude to all those who have made this adventure possible: the authors who have shared their expertise, the readers who have followed us with growing interest, and the editorial team who have worked with dedication to ensure the quality of each issue.

The common thread: man at the centre of technology

The articles in this special edition, while addressing different topics, share a central theme: the relationship between technological innovation and the human dimension in contemporary healthcare. From health digitisation on a national scale to human factors engineering in nursing, from artificial intelligence in reproductive medicine to digital dashboards for PDTAs, from the protection of scientific discoveries to the fascination of the metaverse, and literature as proximity medicine: the message strongly emerges that technology must support people, not replace them.

The articles in this special edition are based on the following themes

The added values of our Magazine

In this first year we have built a distinctive editorial identity, founded on solid pillars.

The internationality is certainly our most distinguishing feature. In this issue, as in previous ones, we host contributions from India, the Arab Emirates, Egypt and Italy.

The multidisciplinarity is another founding element. Doctors, biologists, engineers, quality consultants, technology transfer experts: the variety of skills represented reflects the complexity of contemporary healthcare, where no one discipline can operate in isolation any longer.

The attention to quality and innovation, which we carry in the very name of the journal, translates into the rigorous selection of content and the choice to address cutting-edge topics.

Attaining the ISSN opens a new phase. In the coming year, we will continue to explore the boundaries between technology and humanity, giving a voice to professionals from all over the world.

The ISSN code is awarded to the magazine.
