This multidisciplinary group brings together healthcare professionals, psychologists, public health specialists, educators, institutional representatives, and cultural practitioners involved in the Open Point initiative in Scampia, Naples. The group includes Beniamino Picciano, Elena De Rosa, Danilo Manco, Antonia Carmimeo, Alessia Bosco, Simona Maiello, Francesco Papallo, Ilaria Tamaggio, Alfredo Vitiello, Alessandro Barbarino, Mariano Cinque, Olimpia Pasolini, Meri Cirillo, Wanda Marasco, Elvira Bianco, and Fabiana Rubba. The project integrates healthcare services, social support, and cultural activities within the framework of the “Casa della Comunità”, promoting proximity-based care models that address both clinical needs and the social determinants of health. Through initiatives such as the Open Point Book Club, the group explores the role of independent literature as a tool for community engagement, empowerment, and resilience. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to developing innovative, inclusive, and territorially rooted approaches to healthcare, where culture, education, and clinical practice converge to enhance accessibility, participation, and collective wellbeing.
