Editorial Policy

Editorial Mission

ICMED Magazine aims to disseminate best practices, case studies and critical analyses in the fields of healthcare accreditation, quality in transplant programmes and advanced therapies, transfusion medicine and ART.

Editorial Review Process

All submitted contributions undergo an editorial review conducted by the Scientific Committee. The process includes:

  1. Initial screening: verification of scope, formal quality and compliance with Author Guidelines
  2. Content review: assessment of technical soundness, originality and practical relevance by at least one Scientific Committee member with expertise in the area
  3. Decision: acceptance, acceptance with revisions, or reasoned rejection

ICMED Magazine does not currently adopt a double-blind peer review process. This choice is explicitly stated for transparency towards authors and readers.

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are independent of commercial considerations. ICMED S.r.l., as publisher, does not intervene in the merit evaluations of individual contributions.

Publication Ethics

ICMED Magazine adheres to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). In case of suspected plagiarism, data falsification or misconduct, the editorial team may:

  • Request clarifications from the authors
  • Suspend publication
  • Publish a correction or retraction

Corrections and Retractions

Substantial errors identified after publication are corrected with an errata corrige linked to the original article. Retractions are published in accordance with COPE guidelines.

Editorial Conflicts of Interest

Scientific Committee members who are authors or co-authors of a submitted article abstain from its evaluation.
